Otolaryngology is a medical specialty which is focused on the ear, nose, and throat pathologies. An otolaryngologist is often called an ear, nose, and throat surgeon, or an ENT surgeon. We at Ratna Memorial Hospital have a full-fledged ENT department serving patients for their ENT problems including emergency services.

Scope of services-

Ear: Treatment for hearing loss, ear infections, ear noise (tinnitus), nerve pain, and facial and cranial nerve disorders.

Nose: Diagnosis and management of allergies, sinusitis, smell disorders, polyps, and nasal obstruction due to a deviated septum.

Throat: Treatment for diseases of the throat including sore throat, tonsillitis, voice disorders and swallowing disorders.

Head and Neck: Treatment of benign and malignant (cancerous) tumours, facial trauma, and deformities of the face.

Vertigo clinic: Specialized vertigo clinic run by Dr Ajinkya Kelkar and colleagues has been recently started on every Saturday to treat patients with balance disorders. It has a state of the art equipment to accurately diagnose and treat patients with balance problems. Vestibular rehabilitation exercises which is a natural way to treat such patients is also offered as a part of the vertigo clinic.

Audiology and hearing aid services are offered on appointment basis.
