Maharashtra Medical Foundation was established in 1978. The foundation received a donation from Dr. L. B. Joshi, F.R.C.S., of his Joshi Hospital (Est 1950) which led to the beginning of a new era of the already well-known “Joshi Hospital “.  A second hospital came into existence in 1991. Later MMF became ” MMF Hospitals Association.” It continues to manage the two well known hospitals in Pune, Joshi Hospital and Ratna Memorial Hospital.
