Shri M.S. Kanitkar donated his five plots on Senapati Bapat Road, Pune admeasuring 30,000 Sq. Ft to Maharashtra Medical Foundation (MMF).
Maharashtra Medical Foundation (MMF) constructed a small unit in 1991. The hospital named Unit II was inaugurated on the auspicious day of “Gudi Padwa” on 17th March 1991.
Shri. S.T. Tulshyan, who was impressed with services of the MMF, volunteered a donation for expansion of Unit II. On 28th June 1992 the hospital was renamed as “Ratna Memorial Hospital” in memory of his wife late Mrs. Ratna Tulshyan.
Over the years, Ratna Memorial Hospital (RMH) has grown from a small 25 Bedded General Hospital to a leading 100 bedded Multispeciality hospital.
